Jade T. Superstar and I are still recovering from the madness of SPX and our travels along the US East Coast, but seeing that she made some of our favorite artists’ con that much better is always so rewarding. Jade was pretty droopy during our time in Maryland so she went to a vet in Baton Rouge, LA (going home to Atlanta tomorrow, so expect more art soon!). The vet had some choice words for her approval of Ms. Superstar, calling her bloodwork & organ results on the comprehensive exam “beautiful” and “perfect” and raving over how, at 8-9 years old, Jade was one of the few pugs she met who retained her overpowering cuteness!
As it turned out, the only thing wrong with Jade was that she has some scary-looking arthritis in the one hip socket she’s been stumping around on for about 6 years (I got copies of the x-rays, so stay tuned for the next blog post which will feature said pics of the insides of our very own pugly z-list internet celebrity). Literally hours after taking her first round of anti-arthritic medications Jade was running around, happy and alert, as if her sudden slowing down in the last few months never happened. I totally burst into tears over seeing her so mobile and happy.
