DOG ART TIME

In celebration of the upcoming SPX—and the second year in a row that Ms. Jade T Superstar will be gracing the con with her presence (thanks to the encouragement of certain very fabulous people), it’s gonna be a dog-art kind of day!

Just kidding…..

Harvey is the newest castaway to join our island of misfit toys. This was the first time the puppy sat still long enough that I could paint the many colors in his brindle fur.

Hubby & I have been told a few times that while Harvey is a mutt, he is likely half-pitbull. I have reason to believe that I have finally discovered what Harvey’s other half is! For comparison:

Harvey Miracle Pippin “Harvard Terwilliger” Swick Taney-Lucrezi (aka “Noodle”)

Ace the Bat-Hound (aka “HARVEY’S REAL DAD???”)

Harvey, by the way, was named for the protagonist of Clive Barker’s all-ages novel The Thief of Always. As the 10 year old human Harvey Swick is described as one of “the brightest souls I’ve ever seen,” so too is this rambunctious, clumsy, loving, and obscenely bendy puppy of ours.

With three legs and a stump, Jade has some odd ways of sitting and propping herself up. She is wrinkletastic in any medium. SEE YOU AT SPX, JADE!
